Closed cell foam bonded to roof timbers
Why it happens here
Closed cell foam is rigid and bonds permanently to timber. In The Willows, it was often applied to roof decks in newer builds. Over time, it cracks and traps moisture, which can lead to rot.
Our approach
We use dry ice blasting and thermal tools to lift the foam without damaging the timber. We then wire brush the rafters and check for rot. This method leaves the timber clean and inspectable.
